BC/BE Family Medicine Physician sought to join the medical staff of the Cabin Creek Health Center, a rural community health center system 20 minutes from Charleston WV, the state capital. Join colleagues dedicated to delivering quality health care in rural small town areas close to metropolitan area. The program receives federal and state support and provides care to all community members regardless of ability to pay. The center has integrated clinical pharmacy and behavioral health services, and has a clinical teaching affiliation for health professions students and residents.
The base salary is from $120,000 to $125,000 depending on experience and board status. Productivity-based salary adjustments available. Benefits include family medical benefits, professional disability coverage, life insurance, vacation and CME leave and allowance, license and membership fees. Malpractice coverage is provided though the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA). The coverage is unlimited and is occurrence-based (no �tail� coverage needed). In addition, the health center is an eligible site for loan state loan repayment programs.

This is an opportunity for a master in social work or psychology to participate in model program of integrated behavioral health and primary care. Selected candidates will receive appropriate continuing education in the principles and methods of integrated care. In addition, the behavioral health provider will be a part of small team of behavioral health providers learning collaborative care from each other.
Integrated or collaborative care is characterized, in summary, in the following way: the behavioral health consultant (BHC) a broad range of behavioral health and behavior change challenges are addressed - from helping patients decide on lifestyle changes to coordinating care for patients with psychoses; BHCs work in the same clinical area as the primary care providers and are in regular communication with the PCPs; BHCs accept real-time or "hot hand-offs" from the PCPs; BHC encounters may be brief and there may or may not be follow-up with the BHC - the PCP usually remains the principle provider.
